What We Do
Your break at Benview can be as action-packed or as relaxing as you like. Within a radius of about ten miles you can enjoy horse-riding, off-road driving, quad-biking, climbing, golf, fishing, mountain-biking, canoeing, sailing, archery, bird-watching – and probably one or two other activities we haven’t thought of…
Our region is famously wonderful for walking, whether you fancy a strenuous slog on the West Highland Way, a spot of Munro-bagging, or just a gentle stroll through the woods. Don’t forget to bring your boots – or at least a comfortable pair of walking shoes…
There are lots of shops, restaurants and pubs dotted around the area – in welcoming little towns like Aberfoyle and Callender, and in more isolated villages and beauty spots. You could visit a distillery to see how malt whisky is made, or perhaps a woollen mill, with a chance to buy the product on site.
There’s a leisure centre in Callander offering indoor sport and games for when the weather’s poor – we are in Scotland after all – and we can arrange beauty therapy and pampering in your lodge. In fact, with the wonderful views and welcoming atmosphere at Benview Holiday Lodges, just relaxing in and around your lodge could be one of the most enjoyable things to do during your visit!
Benview is about five miles south of the charming town of Aberfoyle – one of the main population centres of the Trossachs. Ours is a great location for exploring Rob Roy country, Loch Lomondside and the mountains and glens of this spectacular part of Scotland.
Not much further away you’ll find historic towns like Stirling, Dunblane and Callander, while Glasgow is only just over half an hour’s drive, and you can reach Edinburgh in about 50 minutes.
